Fuji Shibazakura Festival, where you can see 800,000 trees of Shibazakura

One of the flowers that you can enjoy next to cherry blossoms in Japan is “Shibazakura“. Usually falls around April and May.

Cherry blossoms are pink, and Shibazakura flowers have many colors such as white, pink, purple…

The small flowers are about 1.5cm in diameter. Each petal is heart-shaped, and the petals are arranged like fan blades, very similar to cherry blossoms. When the flowers bloom, the ground is covered with flowers like a lawn (Shibafu: Lawn), so it is called “Shibazakura.”

The location of Fuji Shibazakura Festival is located about 3 km from Motosuko Lake, in the Fuji Five Lakes area. What makes Fuji Shibazakura Festival so famous is that you can see Shibazakura flowers and see Mount Fuji up close.
